Barrie & Surrounding Areas · Since 0000
Furnaces, boilers, air conditioning, heat pumps and gas work across Barrie. Every technician TSSA certified — and if your heat has gone out, we treat that as urgent, not as a ticket.
What we do
We work on any make. If it heats your home, cools it, or runs on gas, it is what we do all day.
Installation and repair on any make, plus annual tune-ups before the cold arrives.
Repair, annual servicing and written reports. Cold rads, pressure drops, kettling noises.
Service, repair and new installs. Best booked in spring, before you actually need it.
Cold-climate and ductless mini-splits, sized and installed for Canadian winters.
Tank and tankless — repairs, replacements and installs.
Servicing, repair and installation of gas fireplaces by certified technicians.
New gas lines for barbecues, stoves, dryers, pool heaters and garages.
Standard and smart thermostats — including Nest — supplied or fitted.
Whole-home humidifiers, plus ongoing maintenance so small faults stay small.
Note on plumbing: we look after plumbing that is part of the heating system. General plumbing — blocked drains, bathroom taps — is not something we take on.
If it is an emergency
Leave the building right away. Do not switch anything on or off, and do not use your phone inside. Once outside, call the gas emergency line.
1–866–763–5427Get everyone out of the house straight away and call emergency services. Treat it as real even if you think it may be a low battery.
911No heat in winter, or water leaking from your heating system, is treated as urgent. Call us and we will prioritise it. On Sundays we handle emergencies only.

Questions we get every week
It depends on what the job involves. Tell us what is going on and Garth will confirm the cost with you before any work starts.
That depends on your home and the system you need, so we would rather not guess at a number over the phone. Garth will come and take a look, then quote you properly.
Yes. Every R&G technician is TSSA certified — the Technical Standards and Safety Authority is the Ontario body that certifies gas and heating technicians. We are happy to provide documentation.
Two quick things before you call: is the thermostat set to heat and above room temperature, and is the switch beside the furnace turned on — it looks like an ordinary light switch. If both are fine, give us a call.
Early fall is the best time, before the cold arrives and before we get busy. That way anything that needs fixing is caught before you are relying on the heat.
Modern cold-climate heat pumps are designed for Canadian winters and plenty of homes around Barrie run them. Whether one suits your home is worth talking through properly.
We look after plumbing that is part of the heating system. General plumbing — a blocked drain, a leaking bathroom tap — is not something we take on.
If your unit is rented from Enercare or Reliance, their agreement usually requires their own technicians to service it. Call us and we will tell you where you stand.
Most jobs take around three hours, though it depends on what the technician finds once they are there.
